NASA is preparing to launch its latest space telescope, the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, on August 30. This telescope, a repurposed spy satellite accompanying the James Webb Space Telescope, aims to explore mysteries of the cosmos and search for distant worlds. According to ABC News Australia, the telescope is set to launch alongside the James Webb Space Telescope.

The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is expected to provide a sweeping view of the universe, with a field of view 100 times larger than the Hubble Space Telescope, notes Science magazine. The telescope's mission includes searching for as many as 200,000 new planets and investigating dark matter and dark energy, reports WIRED.

However, Phys.org mentions that NASA's Webb telescope has ruled out two new Dyson sphere candidates, as the latest search for technosignatures did not yield any evidence of such structures around stars. This information contradicts the optimism surrounding the potential discoveries of the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, as reported by NPR and WIRED.
